Meg has has lived in Rome, Leeds and London and is currently based in Bristol. Since completing the her post-graduate at the Royal Drawing School, she has specialised in Painting and Printmaking, with drawing always at the core of her practice.

Meg has won various travel scholarships which have enabled her to deepen her connection with her medium and subject matter. She spent two months drawing in Madrid as an artist in residence at the Museo del Prado, and in 2015 she was the recipient of an RBA scholarship that enabled her to spend a month in Rome, where she developed her relationship with the paintings of the early Italian renaissance. She was elected as a member of the Royal Society of Painter Printmakers through the Gwen May Recent Graduate Award.

Meg has exhibited work in the the Royal Academy Summer Show, and exhibits both in the UK and internationally. Her print ‘Dog’ was selected for the collection at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and the Jiangsu Art Museum in China. In 2018 she was selected by artist Marcus Cornish for a Solo Exhibition as part of Flowers Gallery Artist of the Day.

Meg also teaches Painting, Drawing and Printmaking at various art schools, including the Drawing and Printmaking BA at the University of West England, and The Bristol Drawing School at the Royal West Academy. She co-founded the Printmakin studio Cato Press where she also teaches.

“Meg’s art seems raw, haunted, simple, timeless and has a tactile physical handling that I find appealing as a sculptor of clay. Her creatures, of what ever sort, seem 'caught up' and define themselves by sensation rather than just observed anatomy. They are often isolated and in a moment of abstraction or reflection or between anticipation and the fulfillment of an action. They are at a theatrical point where latent dramatic potential could come to something.

When I first met Meg it was as a tutor at The Royal Drawing School reflecting on objects at the British Museum. She seemed to look into and beyond the objects she drew, aspiring, as it seemed to me, to discover the simple logic or magic that was the life that inspired their making.”
