Meg Buick selected for Flowers Artist of the Day 2018.

Meg has been selected for the 24th edition of Artist of the Day, a vital West End exhibition programme selected by leading contemporary artists since 1983. The fast-paced, revolving two week exhibition schedule provides a platform for a selected group of artists, each presenting a one day solo exhibition at Flowers Gallery’s Mayfair location, with a programme of events taking place each day.

DAY ELEVEN: Meg Buick selected by Marcus Cornish. A one day exhibition will be held from 11am - 7pm at Flowers Gallery, Cork Street, London.

China Academy of Art (Hangzhou)

Meg's work has been selected for an exhibition of UK basd artists in China, at the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou.

“The title of this year’s exhibition, “Art · Letter Home – Artist Manuscript Exhibition”, emphasizes the function, value, and charisma of manuscripts to artists, regarding the “techniques and methods” of manuscripts as the most original, natural, and direct sources of art. In addition, it stresses the expansion and integration of the modern spirit of practice in painting with the traditional, and fully reflects a rich assortment of methods of creativity and multiple means of expression among painters in today’s era of “Multiple Types of Painting.”

The exhibition is designed to pry into the uniqueness of artists’ manuscripts to discover the secrets of artistic creativity, seeking their artistic value and inspiration through their charm. Through three forms of artistic expression: paper manuscripts, sketches, and drafts and notes that show the process of creation, the unique and explorative, creative thoughts, as well as styles of artists can be presented.”

Drawing In - Tregony Gallery
Meg will be showing some new etchings at Drawing In, an exhibition at Tregony Gallery in Cornwall, opening on the 14/11/17.

“Far from being simply the foundation by which artworks are created, the variety of exhibited work forms a rich landscape of technique and sensibility. From diffuse textural palettes of Meg Buick, Nicole Price, Mark Hanson, Dana Finch, Ella Carty and Sara Lee Roberts to marked·pressure points and purity of line of Gethin Evans, Daniel Preece, Judi Green, Kay Vinson and Mark Dunford.”
